Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Journeyman to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and safety standards are met. Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure reliable operation and extend system lifespan.
- Conduct field service visits to diagnose issues with mechanical systems, perform appliance repairs, and execute property maintenance tasks.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeterst to test electrical circuits and repair mechanical components effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, including inspection reports, repair logs, and system performance data.

Skills
- Extensive experience in construction environments with a strong foundation in HVAC installation and maintenance.
- Proven service technician experience with the ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC/R systems efficiently.
- Proficiency reading schematics, cut sheets, manuals, and HVAC design documents for accurate system setup.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, refrigeration cycles including ammonia refrigeration systems, and boiler operation.
- Field service expertise with a focus on appliance repair and property maintenance tasks.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and perform welding or equipment repair as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities for effective customer interactions.
