Job Title: Residential Home Builder Supervisor
Location: Houston, TX
Salary: $25 to $30
Vacation: Two weeks paid vacation
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Residential Home Builder Supervisor to oversee construction activities for new residential home projects in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to quality and safety. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations on job sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Must have smart contact with local subs.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers, subcontractors, and vendors on residential building projects
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
- Review and interpret blueprints and construction plans to ensure project accuracy
- Manage project timelines, including scheduling inspections and deliveries, and maintaining proper sequencing of tasks
- Inspect and monitor construction sites to ensure quality control, safety, and adherence to project specifications
- Communicate regularly with clients to update them on project progress, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or delays that may arise on the job site
- Monitor project budgets and materials to prevent cost overruns and wastage
- Ensure that all required permits, inspections, and approvals are obtained in a timely manner
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to maximize team performance and efficiency
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in residential construction, with a focus on project supervision or management
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction methods
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team of workers and subcontractors
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Proficient in project management software and tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
