Job Overview
We are seeking a highly driven, organized, detail-oriented Event & Sales Manager to oversee booking, coordination, and operational readiness for our catering and food truck operations. This is a part-time, commission-based role and is primarily focused on the front-end sales and administrative process, acting as the first point of contact for clients looking to book events.
This role is primarily remote (work-from-home) but may require periodic in-person organization and oversight at our commissary kitchen.
This position does not require working events onsite. Instead, it focuses on behind-the-scenes sales, logistics, scheduling, compliance, and ensuring everything is event-ready.
Responsibilities
- Handle phone, email, and web inquiries for potential catering events, weddings, or corporate functions, responding to inquiries within 24 hours
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, caterers, and entertainment providers to secure the best terms and services
- Aggressively follow up on leads
- Prepare proposals, quotes, and contracts
- Obtain necessary permits, COI's, and any other required documentation
- Close catering and food truck bookings
- Coordinate all event logistics while maintaining high standards of quality
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients through effective communication and personalized service
Qualifications
- 2+ years in event sales, planning, or management within hospitality, restaurant, hotel, or banquet environments
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable contracts and vendor agreements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial management for events
- Familiarity with catering operations, banquet services, and guest hospitality standards
Pay: $300.00 - $1,000.00 per week
