DeIorio Foods, Inc. is seeking a Full Time Logistics Coordinator for our Transportation and Warehousing Department for our 24/7 Frozen Dough facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and schedules Inbound packaging, raw materials, and Outbound finished good traffic
- Coordinate freight consolidation by division, geographic area and commodity type
- Identifies, evaluates, and negotiates the pricing, terms and conditions with carriers and freight forwarders for international and domestic shipments
- Review freight charges for correct rates coordinating with the Accounting Department on issues
- Coordinate and maintain consistent written and verbal communication with carriers and suppliers on holiday schedules, overloads, short loads, emergency orders and other types of coordination needed to ensure on time delivery
- Estimate freight charges for Sales and Customer Services as requested
- Create documents such as bill of ladings, and assist with airway bills, commercial invoices, NAFTA and other export declarations with accuracy
- Maintains copies of all import and export records as required by law
- Set and monitor pickup and delivery appointments
- Build and maintain existing relationships with shippers and consignees
- Responsible for tracking inbound and outbound shipment information
- Checks and receives all consumable deliveries and distributes them to the appropriate parties
- Organizes and logs Shipping and Receiving documents and dispositions accordingly
- Identify and solve possible issues
Education / Experience / Additional Responsibilities:
- AS Degree preferred. Supply Chain, Business or Logistics major preferred
- Prior knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must demonstrate critical thinking ability
- Must demonstrate the ability to work independently
- This is a 2nd shift position
