ABOUT JERSEY PRIME STEAKHOUSE
Jersey Prime Steakhouse is a new, Italian-inspired steakhouse opening in Flemington, NJ. Our kitchen is built on strong systems, organization, and consistency, with a focus on quality ingredients and disciplined execution.
We are seeking a Breakfast Cook to take ownership of the morning opening of the kitchen, support weekend brunch service, and assist with prep for dinner service.
THE ROLE
The Breakfast Cook is responsible for opening the kitchen each morning, executing breakfast service, preparing the kitchen for brunch on weekends, and completing prep tasks to support dinner service. This role requires organization, reliability, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Open the kitchen each morning following established opening procedures
- Set up and execute breakfast service consistently
- Prepare and organize the kitchen for weekend brunch service
- Complete prep tasks to support dinner service
- Set up, stock, and maintain assigned stations
- Follow all recipes, standards, and Chef direction
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
- Properly label, store, and rotate all mise en place
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and DOH guidelines
- Communicate clearly with Sous Chef and kitchen leadership
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous breakfast or line cook experience preferred
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and stay on schedule
- Solid cooking fundamentals and knife skills
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Professional, team-oriented attitude
SCHEDULE
- Full-time
- Early mornings required
- Weekend brunch shifts required
- Holidays as needed
