13-Week Travel Contract
Shift: Nights | 3x12.5-Hour Shifts (7:30 PM – 6:30 AM)
Rotating Weekends Required

Are you an experienced Labor & Delivery RN looking for your next travel assignment? Join a highly respected women's health team in Livingston, NJ, where you'll provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and immediate postpartum.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using continuous fetal monitoring.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Circulate for Cesarean sections and assist the surgical team during operative deliveries.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as ordered.
- Educate patients and families throughout the labor and birth process.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatology staff, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Respond quickly to obstetric emergencies while maintaining excellent patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical documentation.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Must have experience circulating for C-sections
- Current BLS (AHA)
- Current ACLS (AHA)
- NRP Certification
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Certification
- Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends
Patient Care Details
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment caring for high-risk and routine obstetric patients.
Important Eligibility Requirement
Previous RWJBarnabas Health employees (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of one (1) year before becoming eligible for travel assignments.
