MD Health Naples is a physician-led primary care and wellness practice seeking a highly organized, professional, and personable Front Desk Coordinator to join our growing team. This individual will be the first point of contact for our patients and play an essential role in delivering an exceptional patient experience.
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service.
ResponsibilitiesFront Desk & Patient Experience
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments
- Manage provider schedules and maintain appointment flow
- Collect patient demographics and update medical records
- Obtain and upload required patient documents
- Manage patient communications via phone, text, email, and patient portal
- Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Primary Care Administrative Duties
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
- Obtain prior authorizations when needed
- Verify referrals and referral requirements
- Review insurance coverage, copays, deductibles, and patient responsibilities
- Process patient payments and balances
- Coordinate referrals, imaging, and specialist appointments
- Assist with obtaining medical records
- Scan and organize patient documents into the EMR
- Assist with annual wellness visit scheduling and preventative care tracking
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of medical front desk experience preferred
- Primary care, internal medicine, or family medicine experience preferred
- Experience with insurance verification required
- Knowledge of EMR systems preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills
- Insurance verification and prior authorization experience
- Experience with concierge medicine or medical spa settings
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable with technology and patient communication platforms
- Bilingual preferred
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
