Assistant Manager

At Dursh Hospitality, we believe great hotels are built by great people. We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to help lead daily hotel operations while delivering exceptional guest experiences and supporting a positive team culture.
This role is designed for a strong hospitality leader who is looking to grow into a future General Manager position. The ideal candidate will have the drive, leadership ability, and operational mindset to develop into the next leader of the property.
As Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, maintain brand standards, drive team performance, and create memorable stays for every guest. In the absence of the General Manager, you may serve as the acting leader of the hotel.
What You’ll Do
- Support and oversee daily hotel operations across all departments
- Schedule and manage staffing levels to ensure operational efficiency
- Coach, train, and develop team members to achieve performance goals
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
- Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Review guest feedback and implement service improvement strategies
- Coordinate special requests for VIP guests, groups, and events
- Promote hotel amenities, services, and upsell opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and staff
- Assist with HR-related matters, team accountability, and performance management
- Support sustainability and “green hotel” initiatives
Leadership Expectations
We are looking for leaders who lead by example and are actively involved in the day-to-day operation of the hotel. Successful candidates will be hands-on, visible throughout the property, and engaged with both guests and team members. This is not a desk-only management role — we value leaders who maintain a strong presence in every department, support their teams in real time, and help drive operational excellence across the hotel.
Requirements
- Marriott hotel experience is required
- Previous hotel leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Passion for hospitality and guest service
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
- Organized, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
