Moreau Catholic High School is currently seeking High School Band Instructors.
Founded in 1965 under the sponsorship of the Congregation of Holy Cross, Moreau Catholic High School emphasizes college-preparatory excellence in all programs designed to facilitate the informative, formative, and transformative needs of the individual student. Moreau Catholic High School is currently seeking a Trumpet Instructor to provide small-group sectional instruction for students in our Band program. The Trumpet Instructor will work with beginning, intermediate, and advanced trumpet students, providing guidance in tone production, technique, musicianship, and ensemble playing.
The position includes:
- Leading trumpet sectionals for students in Beginning Instrumental Music, Symphonic Band, and Honors Wind Ensemble throughout the school year.
- Working with Beginning Instrumental Music students approximately twice per week during the early part of the school year, as students establish foundational playing skills.
- Leading trumpet sectionals for Symphonic Band and Honors Wind Ensemble on a regular basis throughout the academic year, with occasional exceptions based on the school calendar and instructional needs.
- Coaching a weekly Jazz Trumpet sectional during Zero Period, 7:30–8:30 AM, for candidates with interest, availability, and experience in jazz performance.
- Collaborating with the Band & Orchestra Director to determine sectional assignments and scheduling based on student needs, ensemble priorities, and instructor availability.
The position is expected to involve approximately 105–115 hours of instruction per academic year, with the majority of hours scheduled during the regular school day. The schedule is flexible and will be coordinated with the Band & Orchestra Director.
Candidates should demonstrate strong proficiency on trumpet, the ability to adapt instruction for a range of skill levels, an interest in working with high school musicians, and a commitment to professionalism, enthusiasm, and reliability.

The instructor will primarily work with clarinet and saxophone students at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels, providing guidance in tone production, technique, musicianship, and ensemble playing.
