Looking for AV techs who have experience in BOTH Corporate Event Audio and Video. Ace January Productions is looking for an experienced AV technician who is skilled in both audio and video, with an emphasis on corporate events, and is dedicated to being a reliable employee.
The ideal candidate MUST HAVE a MINIMUM of 3 years of experience working Corporate Events as both an A1/2 and V1/2. Live streaming/ Hybrid Event experience is a bonus. They must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and must also have their own mode of transportation. The ideal candidate also possesses an eagerness to work, professionalism, and willingness to be flexible with scheduling.
As this is a job in the event industry, this is very part-time to start. Schedules vary based on demand and seasons. Depending on company growth and displayed ability to work competently, this could grow into a more full-time position.

AV Technician Skills Requirements:
(Must have all skill requirements in order to be eligible for employment).
Audio
- Experience as both an A1 and A2.
- Experience with QSC TouchMix 30 and Yamaha DM3.
- Know how to program SHURE QULX and SLX microphones.
- Know how to confidently EQ a room for no feedback with no microphone interference.
Video
- Experience as both a V1 and V2.
- Experience in video switching live.
- Experience with ATM switchers.
- Know how to run PPT.
- Experience using Playback Pro.
- Experience setting projectors and sizing them up correctly.
- Configure, maintain, and operate video production equipment for Live and Broadcast transmission, including: PTZ camera configuration and operation; digital routing switchers and control systems; timecode and various sync types
- Experience with using Zoom & Teams.
- Configure, maintain, and operate virtual event signal flows that support web streams, webinars, meetings, and other online programming.
General AV Techinican Qualifations:
- 3 years MINIMUM experience in BOTH Audio and Video, mainly in a corporate event or conference setting.
- Ability to adhere to scheduled times and show up on time.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written required.
- Must have a sense of professionalism with all types of clients
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be willing to travel, as some gigs are not in Los Angeles.
- Open and able to drive a caro van and/or box truck for some events.
- Ability to lift a minimum 50lbs. This job requires you to set up and strike heavy equipment, and you must be able to do so to ensure safety.
- Proficient in professional Live Event production systems (e.g. audio, video, projection, lighting, power distribution, rigging, and staging) along with Information and Communication Technology (e.g RF, wireless, local, and wide area networks, cellular technologies that use SDI, NDI, SRT, RTMP, RTP, and SRC protocols) used in telecommunication platforms.
- Experience in video switching live, broadcast, streaming, recording, and post-production workflows.
- Experience with integrated AV systems using Biamp, Dante, Crestron, Extron, AMX, and similar platforms
- Is a proactive thinker who is quick with problem-solving when situations arise on a job.

Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the CEO, the Audio Visual Technician will operate and maintain event technology as it relates to live and broadcast events, especially those pertaining to video.
- The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of event audio-visual systems and equipment, including sound, lighting, and video. Will be able to effectively communicate with all AJP executives & coworkers, and eventually work independently across multiple projects and deadlines.
- Work with the CEO in executing a variety of events, including but not limited to corporate events, private functions, high-profile events, meetings, and conferences.
- Configure, maintain, and operate live audio visual installations, rehearsals, events, and strikes for events.
