About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Freelance Medical Device Field Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of medical devices at healthcare/wellness facilities.
Must have drivers license and be willing to drive throughout the Tri-State area / North East. Some national travel may be requested.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain/repair, and configure medical devices at spas, wellness centers, clinics, and other healthcare facilities.
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks per manufacturer guidelines and regulations.
- Diagnose and repair hardware or software issues both virtually and in the field.
- Train end-users and clinical staff on proper use and care of equipment.
- Provide technical support and respond to service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards (FDA, ISO, etc.).
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and customer support.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in medical device servicing, field support, or technical customer service (preferred).
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and IT troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel extensively within the assigned territory
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple partners and cases simultaneously.
- Experience with diagnostic imaging, patient monitoring, or surgical systems is a plus.
