American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health (Psychiatric) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, inpatient and medical psych background, and Epic proficiency.

Behavioral Health inpatient hospital unit
-
Patient population includes diagnoses such as Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD), and Bipolar Disorder
-
Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
-
4 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
-
Floating required to the Adult Behavioral Health unit or other system locations as needed

EMR: Epic (mandatory experience required)

Active NC or Compact RN license required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
STARR certification preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
-
Previous inpatient and medical psychiatric nursing experience required

Experience with Epic EMR is mandatory

Child/adolescent, locked unit, group home, and substance/chemical dependency experience preferred

2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

All RNs are required to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed — study materials are not provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance
