We are seeking an experienced, compassionate Lead Grooming Stylist who is passionate about exceptional pet care, building lasting client relationships, and mentoring others. What You'll Do
- Groom an average of 4–5 dogs per day, allowing time for quality work and individualized care.
- Build long-term relationships with clients through excellent communication, consistency, and trust.
- Provide breed-standard and pet trims while prioritizing each dog's comfort and wellbeing.
- Mentor and support assistant groomers and newer stylists through positive coaching and leadership.
- Lead by example in professionalism, teamwork, and salon standards.
- Help maintain an organized, clean, and low-stress salon environment.
- Assist with scheduling flow, daily operations, and ensuring each pet receives the highest level of care.
- Educate pet owners on coat maintenance, home care, and appropriate grooming schedules.
- Handle dogs with patience, confidence, and compassion, adapting techniques to each dog's individual needs.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional grooming experience after certification or formal training.
- Excellent scissoring and finishing skills across a variety of breeds and coat types.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Natural leadership skills with a collaborative, encouraging approach.
- Comfortable mentoring others while continuing to grow personally and professionally.
- Fear Free Certified or willing to obtain certification.
- Commitment to low-stress handling techniques and compassionate grooming practices.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently while supporting the team.
