About Venture House
Venture House is a community-based non-profit, mental health agency, utilizing the Clubhouse Model of Psychosocial Rehabilitation. Our mission is to support individuals living with mental illness to achieve recovery through improved access to education, employment, recreation, housing, civic engagement and the arts in an environment of mutual acceptance and empowerment.

We are currently seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and analytical individual who is a proactive initiative-taker with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will also bring experience in referral network coordination and relationship-building to help drive the continued growth and impact of our organization.
Reports Directly to: Director of Development
Secondary Reporting to: Staten Island Clubhouse Director
Job Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with referral sources, healthcare providers, behavioral health agencies, schools, libraries, homeless services, criminal justice partners, elected officials, businesses, and other community stakeholders to increase membership.
- Identify and cultivate partnerships throughout New York City that expand awareness of Venture House and generate member referrals.
- Lead the implementation of a proactive membership growth plan in collaboration with the Clubhouse Director and the Director of Development & Outreach.
- Maintain an annual outreach calendar that supports membership recruitment, referral outreach, and community engagement.
- Track outreach activities, referral trends, and membership growth efforts, providing monthly reports and recommendations.
- Work closely with Clubhouse Directors, Intake staff, and program teams to ensure a seamless referral, tour, and membership enrollment process.
- Engage Clubhouse members, Media Units, and staff in outreach activities, presentations, and community events that showcase the Clubhouse Model.
- Plan, coordinate, and participate in membership recruitment events, open houses, resource fairs, presentations, and other community engagement activities, including coordinating vendors, volunteers, community partners, and prospective members.
- Create and manage marketing and communications materials, including press releases, brochures, email campaigns, website content, social media, and public relations initiatives that promote Venture House and support membership growth.
- Maintain an active and engaging online presence by collaborating with the Media Unit and Development Office to update the website, social media platforms, newsletters, and digital content.
- Represent Venture House at community meetings, coalitions, conferences, and citywide initiatives to strengthen referral relationships and increase community awareness.
