Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Front Desk Agent/Night Auditor to join our Extended Stay Hotel Division team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works well independently, and is committed to providing exceptional guest service.
This is a flexible schedule position that will require a combination of:
- 2 to 3 daytime or afternoon/evening front desk shifts each week
- 2 overnight weekend Night Auditor shifts.
- 30 to 40 hours a week based on Hotel needs.
- Pay rate of $16 per hour
Schedules are based on the operational needs of the hotel and will vary from week to week.
As the overnight team member, you will serve as the primary point of contact for guests while ensuring the property remains safe, secure, and running smoothly throughout the night.
ResponsibilitiesFront Desk Operations
- Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Complete guest check-ins and check-outs accurately using HotelKey PMS.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist guests with questions, reservations, and requests.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Process payments and maintain accurate guest accounts.
- Assist guests who have been locked out of their rooms by verifying identification before issuing replacement key cards.
- Complete shift reports and communicate important information to the morning management team.
Night Audit Responsibilities
When scheduled as the Night Auditor, duties include:
- Run the nightly audit in HotelKey PMS (training provided).
- Print and organize the required audit reports into the nightly audit packet.
- Verify guest balances and ensure reports are completed accurately.
- Complete any remaining late-night check-ins.
- Maintain accurate overnight logs and incident reports.
Night audit responsibilities are minimal due to our HotelKey Property Management System.
Overnight Laundry Duties
During overnight shifts, you will also be responsible for:
- Washing, drying, folding, and organizing hotel laundry.
- Ensuring clean linens and towels are available for the housekeeping team each morning.
- Keeping the laundry room clean, organized, and stocked.
Safety & Security
- Conduct routine property walks as assigned.
- Work closely with the overnight security officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
- Monitor activity around the property and report suspicious behavior or maintenance concerns immediately.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and company policies.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience preferred.
- Night Audit experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Experience with HotelKey PMS is preferred. but not required; training will be provided.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions overnight.
- Experience as a laundry attendant as you will be responsible for washing and folding of linen and terry.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to work overnight, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
