Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, adhering to recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including food prep stations and storage
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Support meal preparation for catering events or special functions as needed
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, stoves, and other appliances
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and uphold high standards of food quality
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies when necessary
Experience
- Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred
- Experience working in fine dining settings is a plus, demonstrating attention to detail and high standards
- Knowledge of dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is advantageous
- Strong food preparation skills, including knife skills and cooking techniques
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
- Experience in menu planning, catering, or serving in a food industry setting is beneficial
- Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards
