About the Role
We are a well-established, family-owned tree service company with a strong reputation for quality work and reliable service. We’re looking for an experienced Groundsman to join our crew. This is a hands-on role focused on safe and efficient ground-level tree work.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate chainsaws for limbing, bucking, and cutting trees at ground level
- Sharpen and maintain chainsaw chains
- Run wood chipper and stump grinder
- Assist with rigging, debris cleanup, and site restoration
- Work effectively as part of a team on residential and commercial jobs
- Communicate clearly with crew members and customers
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Requirements
- Solid experience running chainsaws and performing ground-level tree work
- Experience operating a wood chipper and stump grinder (preferred)
- Ability to sharpen chainsaws
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brake endorsement strongly preferred
- Reliable transportation and good attendance
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work in all weather conditions
- Good communication skills and a team-player attitude
- Commitment to safety (we take it seriously)
