Transition considerations
An effective QA Technician must be able to maintain a modified peer relationship with his co-workers as well as command a degree of respect and authority in order to encourage continuously improving quality standards. Subtle changes take place when someone on the Production Team fills this position. The opportunity to be a hands-on coach to create improvement via training can afford a high level of job satisfaction. However, the measurement process may uncover individuals who are unresponsive to coaching; unwilling to improve or unable to improve and this may create some natural tensions in relationships.
