Job Summary:
The CNC Machinist plays a critical role in transforming raw materials into precision components that meet exact engineering and customer requirements. This is a hands-on machining position for someone who takes pride in tight tolerances, clean setups, and high-quality results.
You’ll work independently on CNC equipment, interpret detailed prints, and ensure every part leaving your machine reflects craftsmanship and accuracy. This role is ideal for a machinist who enjoys technical challenges, steady work, and being part of a professional, forward-thinking manufacturing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machining equipment to produce precision components
- Machine parts according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards
- Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
- Apply GD&T principles to achieve proper tolerances and part functionality
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to verify accuracy
- Manage jobs according to production schedules and deadlines
- Record job progress and production data accurately
- Maintain machines for optimal performance and safe operation
- Follow all safety, quality, and customer requirements
- Contribute ideas and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to independently set up and operate CNC machines
- Machine Tool Technology diploma or equivalent hands-on machining experience preferred
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Proficiency using precision measurement and inspection tools
- Solid understanding of GD&T
- Basic computer skills for documentation and production tracking
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Mechanically inclined, reliable, and team-oriented mindset
Working Conditions:
