Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support when needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Handle guest inquiries professionally, resolve concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and sales transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly
- Knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling cash transactions
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Culinary experience or kitchen support skills are a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
