EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT.
- TWO YEARS’ MINIMUM EXPERIENCE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Strong reliability and a track record of punctuality.

Proficiency with typing, Microsoft Office, and general computer skills.

Experience as a receptionist in an optometry office is a plus but not required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet patients and visitors professionally, ensuring a positive first impression of the practice

Schedule and confirm appointments, managing the calendar effectively to optimize patient flow.

Perform clerical duties such as scanning, data entry, etc.

Collects accurate demographics and insurance eligibility information.

Registers new and established patients according to expected workflows.
-
Captures and updates insurance information in the patient’s record.

Completes enrollment and necessary forms for financial programs.

Completes necessary clinical forms required for patient visit.
-
Ensures forms and insurance cards/eligibility are scanned and indexed appropriately and timely.

Ensure confidentiality and compliance with company policies regarding sensitive information.

Extensive use of computers.

Ability to hear and speak clearly.

Free to move about offices, practice locations.

Able to sit for extended periods of time.
