OVERVIEW:
The Regional Vice President of Operations is a senior field leadership role with oversight of multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities in the East Virginia region. This position is responsible for regional P&L and accountable for achieving company objectives in regard to cost, productivity, leadership, customer service, profits and growth.
JOB DUTIES:
- Oversee leadership of multiple Skilled Nursing facilities
- Ensuring the quality of care and service delivered is of the highest level
- Create and adhere to assigned budgets
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and revenue strategies
- Train and manage facility leadership
- Ensure each facility is monitoring and maintaining clinical staffing levels
- Participate in Facility Business Development efforts to continuously increase census
- Accountable for fostering a culture of retention by maintaining a quality workforce
focusing on customer service and operational excellence.
- Analyze regions KPIs and P&Ls for performance gaps and opportunity areas.
- Establish and execute sound business strategies in conjunction with teams; including,
leadership team that enable profitable growth.
- Develop and grow leaders, instill and cultivate confidence in market leaders. Inspire
team to be passionate about the employee experience
- Apply sound communication and motivational techniques, create programs to
supervise, counsel, and when necessary, take corrective action
- Recruit, hire, supervise, and train Executive Directors/Nursing Home Administrators.
- Assist regional staff, i.e., clinical, financial, marketing, and human resources to ensure
facilities receive appropriate support.
- Ensure regional facilities meet all requirements of local, state, and federal regulations
and laws relating to nursing home administration.
- Schedule regular meetings with Executive Directors and periodic site visits to provide
supervision, ensure communication, and to monitor facility operations.
- Work closely with sales/marketing staff to set strategies for promotions and expansion
of the census/programs/services within the facilities.
- Participate in the resolution of hotline calls.
- Conduct oneself with the highest degree of honesty and integrity in every interaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years of skilled nursing operations experience- 5+ years of Regional Multisite experience (5+ care centers)
- Active FL. Nursing Home Administrator license required
- B.S. degree in a related field preferred
- Proven track record focused on improving the quality of health care services, maximizing revenue and building census, mentoring and rallying the staff, controlling expenses, increasing resident satisfaction.
- Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and presenting skills

This job operates in a health care setting- This role requires regular walking to various locations around the care center
- Incumbent may be exposed to virus, disease and infection from patients and specimens in
working environment
- May experience traumatic situations, including psychiatric, and deceased patients

TRAVEL:
Up to 75% travel is expected for this position
