Job Purpose
To provide an accurate estimate for projects set forth by the salesman to reflect the most accurate cost and margin for each project.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review Estimate Request in Wrike

Identify & Qualify Estimate Request

Establish and maintain relationships with vendors in my territory

Request pricing from vendors for each project
-
Review project specification & bid package
-
Submit RFIs
-
Check for Addendum (Always check day of bid)

Perform Scope Review
-
If bidding to GC’s, call and verify scopes required per GC
-
Submit scope letter to GCs for approval
-
Identify completion dates, LDs, taxes, and wage rates
-
Identify project budget
-
Enter Estimate in ProEst
-
Base bid and all alternates
-
Accounting Request – Bid Bond
-
Verify if Bid Bond is 5% or 10% (allow 24 Hours for delivery)

Establish value of Bid Bond based on historical values & current scope of work
-
Perform project take-off
-
Quantify all scopes of work per construction documents
-
Identify areas of scope that require subcontractors or high-lead time quotes

Request Quotes for the Following:
-
Freight Quotes (Turf & Specialty Infill)
-
Graphics Quote from STR-Prefab
-
Turf Removal/Installation Quote
-
Shock Pad Quote
-
Subcontractor Quotes (If In-house crews are not used when estimating)

Base Subcontractor
-
Track Subcontractor
-
Other
-
Create Draft Estimate for preliminary review with team

Review Quotes from Vendor
-
Perform scope check with subcontractors and vendors to ensure the bid scope is accurate.
- Verify tax information is correct (If tax exempt the estimator should obtain tax exempt certificates

Verify wage rates are accurate for the area.

Generate Final Estimate with incorporation of reviewed quotes

Verify margins with Sales Team
- Assemble Complete Bid Package/Proposal

Compile a complete bid package per contract documents

Request samples if required

Revisions to Project Estimate as required by owner

Each revision gets a new estimate in ProEst
-
Wrike Job Folder information must match ProEst Estimate before Folder goes to Operations.

Produce all billable change orders per construction documents.

Weekly bid review with Project Team

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; HS diploma/GED required

Experience: 10+ years’ experience

Courses/Certifications/Training: Certified Field Builder license

Superior written and verbal communication skills
