Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging horseback riding lessons tailored to individual skill levels, from beginners to advanced riders
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing proper riding techniques and safety procedures at all times
- Maintain the well-being of horses by overseeing their care, grooming, and stable management before and after lessons
- Develop customized lesson plans that incorporate riding skills, behavior management, and confidence-building exercises
- Monitor rider progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills and enjoyment
- Foster a welcoming environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect among riders
- Collaborate with other staff members to organize riding events, competitions, or themed activities that promote active participation
Skills
- Previous experience in horseback riding instruction or equestrian coaching is highly preferred
- Knowledge of Parelli horsemanship is a huge plus
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to effectively guide students of diverse ages and abilities
- Experience working with children or youth in recreational or educational settings
- Familiarity with safety standards related to horseback riding and horse care practices
