Job Summary
A Restaurant Server greets guests, presents menus, takes food and beverage orders, delivers items accurately, and handles payments while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and seat guests in a courteous manner
- Present menus and explain daily specials
- Take accurate food and drink orders
- Enter orders into the POS (point-of-sale) system
- Serve food and beverages promptly and correctly
- Check on guests to ensure satisfaction
- Clear and reset tables efficiently
- Handle payments, cash, and card transactions
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Communicate with kitchen staff and other team members
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling bills and tips
- Teamwork and reliability
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Previous restaurant experience preferred (but often not required)
Pay: From $6.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
