Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated effectively
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Manage cash handling, process payments accurately, and perform cashiering duties with integrity
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables efficiently, resetting dining areas swiftly, and adhering to sanitation standards in food handling and food safety practices
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle guest relations professionally
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently using sales techniques like suggestive selling
- Experience with food preparation, bussing, hosting/hostess duties, or kitchen experience is a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
