We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Microsoft technologies, Office 365, virtualization platforms, hypervisors , and backup solutions.
This role requires strong technical leadership, problem-solving ability, and the capability to architect secure, scalable, and highly available systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft-based infrastructure environments
- Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 / Office 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Azure AD, Intune)
- Engineer and manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, or similar hypervisors)
- Architect high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
- Implement and maintain enterprise backup and recovery systems (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Cohesity etc.)
- Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and infrastructure optimization
- Lead infrastructure projects including migrations, upgrades, and cloud transitions
- Maintain security best practices, patch management, and compliance standards
- Provide Tier III escalation support and technical leadership to junior engineers
- Create and maintain detailed documentation and system diagrams
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server environments
- Advanced experience with Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administration
- Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix or other hypervisors
- Experience with enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
- Experience with Azure or hybrid cloud environments
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls)
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, AZ-104, MCSA/MCSE equivalent)
- VMware VCP certification
- Experience with Azure AD, Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA
- PowerShell scripting experience
- Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards
