ABOUT THE CLUB
Southview Country Club is a private, member-owned club with 105 years of history. The club was founded in 1919 with the purpose of bringing local businessmen closer together. This original idea still holds true today. Many of our members have joined Southview for the friendships and golf but they have remained members for the long-lasting memories and relationships they have created. The Club's Board of Directors, Club Management and Staff are dedicated to provide the best possible experiences to members and their guests in the utilization of amenities including quality golf, dining social and family activities.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Line Cook will report to the Executive Chef and assist the Sous Chef in food prep and execution. The candidate must be able to maintain a good working relationship and communicate effectively with co-workers and other club staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILTIES
- Prepares all required items and serve items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
- Sets up service units with needed items
- Notifies Sous Chef of expected shortages
- Ensures that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary
- Assists Sous Chef in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen
- Maintains neat and professional appearance and observe personal cleanliness rules at all times
- Sets up, maintains and breaks down prep cook station
- Requisitions items needed to produce menu items
- Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations
- Covers, dates, and neatly stores all leftover products that are re-useable
- Maintains the highest sanitary standards
- Assists with other duties assigned by Sous or Executive Chef
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
- Previous country club experience a plus
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
- Demonstrate good listening skills
- Bilingual is a plus
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
