Job Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Teachers to join our team. We are a two day a week learning program for students 18mo.-5 years. We work Mondays and Wednesdays 8-2:45. We also have one Tuesday teacher work day per month.Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our students to be loved and to be taught basic emotional, cognitive and academic skills alongside Biblical truths. The person who will join our team should love the Lord, love children and teaching children. You should be able to multitask, be self-motivated, and be able to work along side a co-teacher whom you will share responsibilities. You will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that promotes learning and development.
Responsibilities
- Teach basic social, emotional, cognitive, and academic skills alongside Biblical Truths
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment
- Give each child the attention needed to assure his/her best welfare (eating, toileting, sleeping, playing, health, and safety)
- Be familiar with and follow all personnel policies
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational experience
- Organize and write age appropriate lesson plans based on the unity of study (this will be done along side a co-teacher)
- Complete and send home daily communications with parents
- Ensure classroom is clean, organized, sanitized, and stocked
- Attend once a month planning meetings
Qualifications
- Experience working with preschool age children; love the Lord, love children and teaching children
- The ability to bend, stoop, lift, and physically take care of children
- Able to complete a criminal background check and ministry safe training
- Current CPR
