Job Summary
Hamlin Place is seeking a dynamic and dedicated RN Supervisor to lead our weekend nursing team with energy and expertise. In this vital role, you will oversee patient care operations during weekend shifts (7am-11pm), ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate nursing services across various care settings. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff during weekend shifts, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation to maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, infection control policies, and other regulatory requirements to safeguard patient privacy and safety.
- Administer medications, IV infusions, catheter care, and other treatments following established procedures and physician orders.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Cerner or Epic to document patient care activities accurately.
- Provide mentorship and supervision to nursing staff, fostering professional development and team cohesion during weekend hours.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current state registration; BSN preferred.
- Critical care experience in settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, or trauma centers highly desirable.
- Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience within a healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; familiarity with ICD-10/ICD-9 coding is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medication administration, and medical terminology.
- Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia care patients, or those requiring long-term or assisted living support.
- Ability to perform patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, specimen collection/processing, and basic life support (BLS).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to triage effectively and coordinate multidisciplinary care teams.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, sterile techniques, catheterization procedures, and ventilator management preferred.
