Job Title: Talent Sourcer
Pay Rate: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour
Position Type: 3+ Month Contract (Strong potential to extend or convert to permanent)
Position Summary
The Talent Sourcer plays a critical role in building and maintaining a pipeline of high-quality talent to support the continued growth of a leading aerospace and technology organization. This position is responsible for proactively identifying, engaging, and cultivating candidates for current and future hiring needs across engineering, manufacturing, operations, corporate, and technical functions.
Working closely with recruiters and hiring managers, the Talent Sourcer leverages market research, sourcing strategies, networking, and talent intelligence to identify exceptional candidates while helping strengthen the client's employer brand. The ideal candidate is resourceful, data-driven, relationship-focused, and passionate about connecting top talent with meaningful career opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development
- Proactively source passive and active candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, professional networks, job boards, referrals, and other sourcing tools.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines for critical and recurring positions.
- Conduct market mapping and identify talent within targeted industries, companies, and geographic regions.
- Build long-term relationships with prospective candidates for future hiring needs.
- Support diversity sourcing initiatives to broaden candidate pipelines.
Candidate Engagement
- Conduct initial outreach and candidate engagement.
- Qualify candidates against position requirements and organizational needs.
- Maintain ongoing communication with prospective candidates throughout the sourcing process.
- Present qualified candidates to recruiters for further consideration.
Market Intelligence
- Research labor market trends, competitor hiring activity, compensation trends, and talent availability.
- Provide recruiting teams and hiring managers with talent market insights to support hiring strategies.
- Recommend sourcing approaches based on market conditions.
Employer Branding
- Promote the client's mission, culture, and career opportunities to prospective candidates.
- Represent the company through networking events, career fairs, university recruiting events, military transition programs, and professional organizations.
Recruiting Operations
- Maintain accurate candidate information within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Track sourcing activity and pipeline metrics.
- Assist with recruiting campaigns and hard-to-fill searches.
- Partner closely with recruiters to ensure a seamless candidate experience.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of sourcing, recruiting, talent acquisition, or staffing experience.
- Experience sourcing passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and other leading sourcing platforms.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Direct experience recruiting within the aerospace, manufacturing, engineering, defense, or technology industries.
- Experience supporting high-volume and specialized technical recruiting.
- Familiarity with enterprise ATS platforms such as ADP Recruiting or Workday.
- Deep knowledge of advanced search techniques (e.g., Boolean) and modern sourcing strategies.
- Experience with university recruiting, military transition recruiting, or internship programs.
