Job Description:
Van Industries Inc is a Manufacturing Plant looking to hire a responsible hard working Maintenance Worker. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position requiring the candidate to have good problem solving skills, prior maintenance responsibilities, strong safety attitude, cleanliness, and excellent decision making abilities. In addition, the candidate will have contact with outside services/vendors and therefore must be able to communicate technical information.

Responsibilities:
- Help maintain our preventive maintenance program for each piece of material handling and processing equipment
- Conduct maintenance repairs of equipment and machinery to ensure cost effective and long term results
- Coordinate with the Shop foreman and management to determine most effective times for general maintenance and repairs, so that it does not interfere with the production schedule
- Help manage and direct outside vendors/contractors used in the repairs and maintenance of equipment
- Follow the safety program and ensure that all machines and equipment are running in accordance with company safety rules
Qualifications:
- At least 2-4 years of previous experience as an electrician and/or maintenance worker
- Strong working knowledge of maintenance programs, OSHA safety guidelines and parts inventory systems a must
- Ability to problem solve
- Strong documentation & communication skills
- Must be independent & self-motivated
