Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be the equivalent of:
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in civil, sanitary, or environmental engineering, or a related field; and
-
Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in environmental engineering including five (5) years’ experience in managing, supervising or directing the work of environmental professionals. A master’s degree is highly desirable.
Licenses, Certificates, or Credentials:

Must possess valid California registration as a Professional Civil Engineer.

Must possess a valid Class C California driver's license, have, and maintain a satisfactory driving record, and be insurable by the District to operate District vehicles.

Must possess the physical characteristics to perform the critical and important duties of the job.
