Additional Details:
This site operates both electric and LPG-powered lift trucks. The role includes participation in an on-call rotation to support weekend needs. In addition to lift trucks, the position will also involve some battery maintenance and work on miscellaneous equipment, including but not limited to sweeper scrubbers, personnel movers, and related material-handling equipment.
What You’ll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on electric forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Schedule and complete planned maintenance (PMs) while maintaining accurate service records.
- Inspect and test forklifts and safety systems to ensure OSHA and operational compliance.
- Use repair manuals, parts diagrams, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot engines, transmissions, and hydraulic/electrical systems.
- Communicate equipment condition and any damage to on-site personnel and the Kenco Parts Manager.
- Maintain an organized work area and parts inventory.
- Provide professional customer service at all times while representing Kenco.
What You Bring
- High school diploma, GED, or technical school graduate required.
- 2–4 years of electric forklift mechanic experience (hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting preferred).
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Must provide own hand tools and have a valid driver’s license.
- Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and safely operate lift trucks.
