Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney specializing in Family Law to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to advocate for clients navigating complex family-related legal issues, including divorce, child custody, and support matters. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in legal research, legal writing, drafting, and negotiation, with a passion for delivering compassionate and effective legal solutions. You will work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies, prepare legal documents, and represent clients in court proceedings. Litigation experience is a plus. Bonus in addition to Salary: In addition to the base salary, there are bonuses for meeting the monthly billable hours requirement (133.3 per month), bonuses for bringing in clients, and a Holiday Bonus in December each year.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case development in family law and other related practice areas such as estate planning, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, patent law, and environmental law
- Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documents with precision and clarity
- Assist in preparing cases for trial by organizing evidence, witness lists, and exhibits
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes efficiently
- Attend court hearings and client meetings to provide legal support and advocacy in family law matters
- Conduct thorough legal research on relevant statutes and case law to inform case strategy
- Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience or strong interest in family law practice
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, persuasive legal documents
- Strong negotiation skills to facilitate amicable resolutions when possible
- Knowledge of additional practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, patent law is highly desirable
- Legal administrative experience that demonstrates organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
