Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated animal healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly and manage appointment scheduling with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Handle collection of payments accurately while maintaining confidentiality.
- Support veterinary staff by preparing exam rooms, sterilizing equipment using aseptic techniques, and managing laboratory samples.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments, medication refills, and pet care instructions to ensure comprehensive client service.
- Maintain organized records of pet medical histories, laboratory results, and treatment plans in accordance with USDA regulations and DEA guidelines.
- Answering phone calls and returning voicemails in a timely fashion.
Requirements
- Prior experience in veterinary reception or administrative roles within animal healthcare settings is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, medical-surgical procedures, and companion animal medicine is essential.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners, veterinary staff, and external agencies.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform animal restraint or kennel duties as required.
