The Therapy Aide assists the rehabilitation team in providing quality therapy services to residents in a skilled nursing facility under the direction and supervision of licensed physical therapists and occupational therapists. Responsibilities include preparing patients for physical and occupational therapy treatment, transporting them to the therapy gym and set them up for their session. The therapy aide will assist residents with exercises and activities as specifically directed by the licensed therapist, maintain a clean, safe and organized therapy environment, and an ensure therapy equipment is properly stored . The Therapy Aide also provides clerical and recordkeeping support to the coordinator, including filing, tracking documentation, and other administrative duties as assigned.
