A Day in the Life of a Home Services Technician:
As a Home Services Technician at Lookout Pest Control, you’ll be out in the field making homes safer, drier, and termite-free. Your workday might include installing attic insulation, laying moisture barriers in crawl spaces, or handling termite prevention and monitoring. You’ll also deliver top-notch customer service—answering questions and ensuring clients feel confident in your work. With a focus on safety, accuracy, and staying current on industry trends, you’ll play a key role in protecting our customers’ homes and driving our company’s success.
Essential Functions:

Abide by company safety policies and regulatory requirements, including the application, storing, and mixing of product, donning of Personal Protective Equipment, and safe operation of equipment, vehicles, and tools

Operate company vehicle safely and lawfully

Obtain and maintain all industry-required licenses and registrations through testing and continuing education credits

Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of equipment and vehicles for cleanliness, preservation, longevity, efficacy, and safety
-
Collaborate with customers to schedule or confirm appointments, services, and appropriate preparation for your appointments.

Ensure proper materials and equipment are present atthe job site
-
Ensure the job site is cleaned once work is completed
Insulation
-
Replace attic insulation including, removing existing insulation, preparing and inspecting the attic, blowing in new insulation using an insulation truck and equipment.
Encapsulation
-
Prepare crawl space for barrier, including the removal of debris
-
Install moisture barrier in crawl spaces, including measuring ,rolling, taping, cutting
Liquid Termite Application
-
Operate liquid termiticide rig including filling, mixing, and maintenance
-
Prepare structures for liquid treatment, including trenching, drilling voids & slabs
-
Apply liquid termiticide as prescribed by the product label
Termite Bait Stations
-
Install termite bait stations abiding by the safe digging program and mounting bait boxes
-
.Locate, clean, and inspect bait stations and bait witha locator
-
Repair and replace bait stations as necessary
-
Record, graph, and indicate termite activity as required by termite prevention programs and regulatio.n

Remove bait stations as directed
Other Duties
-
Collaborate with Sales to generate leads by identifying opportunities for additional services.

Attend required training and meetings as prescribed

Perform other duties as requires
Requirements
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Must have & maintain a valid driver's license and motor vehicle record that conforms to our Safe Driver Policy and insurance requirements

Must pass state required exam for registration/certification after being hired
-
Must be over the age of 18

Must be able to read and speak English fluently

Weekend work as required
Work Conditions

Daily driving between stops

Indoor/outdoor work in seasonal weather conditions including, heat, cold, and rain

May face high heat or cold conditions in attics, crawl spaces, and other voids

Kneeling, bending, stooping, crawling in low clearance, tight spaces

Uneven terrain around the perimeter of structures and landscaping

May carry product-filled containers and operate motorized equipment,
