Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing sales transactions efficiently.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, including wine and spirits recommendations, to enhance guest experience through upselling opportunities.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and sanitation.
- Ensure food safety and proper handling by adhering to sanitation guidelines and food industry regulations.
- Manage cash handling accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Maintain guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, ensuring complete satisfaction throughout their visit.
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
- Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation enhances your ability to assist guests effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Demonstrated ability in sales techniques, including upselling beverages like wine, spirits, cocktails, and additional menu items.
- Knowledge of beverage service standards including spirits experience and cocktail preparation.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and guest-focused approach.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
