Marine Drive Childcare is an early childhood education center in Bremerton offering high-quality care in a beautifully remodeled setting. For more information about our school, visit marinedrivechildcare.com. We are hiring a pool of on-call substitutes who can be available to cover scheduled vacations as well as short-notice sick days. No formal training is required, and this position can be a first step to full-time employment in a supportive environment with career possibilities.
This is an entry level position with the possibility for advancement to assistant or lead teacher.

Responsibilities
- Assist in creating a stimulating classroom environment that promotes childhood development and encourages curiosity.
- Engage with children through activities that enhance social-emotional skills, behavior management, and early intervention strategies.
- Help with classroom management by maintaining organization, safety protocols, and ensuring a clean learning space.
- Provide attentive toddler care and support children with special education needs to ensure inclusive learning.
- Foster open communication with children and parents to promote child welfare and address individual needs.
Qualifications
Prior to beginning work, employees must pass a background check and obtain the following. Please note that we are happy to assist the right candidate in obtaining the necessary requirements.
- A valid STARS ID
- Completion of initial training videos
- A TB Test
- A Food Handlers permit
