GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Plans and coordinates multiple programs for a non-profit organization, including budgeting, and community outreach. Develops and implements programs that align with the organization's mission and support the organization's goals. Creates program materials, establishes staffing requirements, and ensures that program achieves stated objectives. May be responsible for special events that publicize the organization and its programs to the community. Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 2 to 4 years of related experience.
Responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
1. All duties as assigned
2. Responsible for the planning and execution of educational programming initiatives set by the programming committee, negotiating in the best interests of the EFBC. (40%)
- Obtain estimates, negotiate contracts and fees with service providers, speakers and venues
- Venue research and selection
- On-site oversight and logistics coordination for all events
- Maintain system to evaluate each event, gather member feedback and provide recommendations to improve future events
3. Handle any office administration duties including welcoming guests, answering phones, filing, ordering supplies, preparing mail, running errands, etc. (20%)
- Relay client concerns to the appropriate senior staff
- Maintain client files and add new information as it becomes available
- Help clients fill out paperwork and attend to correspondence
- Update computer and hard copy file systems on a weekly basis
4. Community Hub Manager (15%)
- Build, grow, and manage the online community, fostering engagement and interaction while monitoring and analyzing community performance to improve strategies and ensure a positive user experience.
5. Assist the Marketing Coordinator as needed in promoting and marketing events through social media, internal membership communication, and drip campaigns. (5%)
6. Work alongside Membership Coordinator and Marketing Coordinator to manage contacts in CRM system (Salesforce) and maintain website content. (5%)
7. Manage committee meetings including documenting meeting minutes, follow-up on initiatives and scheduling meetings. (5%)
8. Support EFBC’s business development and marketing efforts through activities such as networking, event attendance, contact follow-up, and presentation and proposal development. (5%)
9. Assist with training students and interns as needed. (5%)

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- Attention to Detail – Ability to meticulously manage event logistics, administrative tasks, and data entry, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of the role.

- Written communication – Ability to write emails, social media content, blogs, newsletters, press releases, etc. with correct grammar/spelling and clear message.

- Professional – Ability to honor confidentiality of membership and be able to establish successful working relationships with membership, prospects and vendors.

- Customer service – Ability to interact with and assist membership inquiries via phone, email and in person. Maintain a friendly demeanour and work hard to solve membership issues and answer questions.
