Sixth City Distribution is hiring a sales representative to join our growing team in a dynamic and exciting industry!
Location: Columbus/Central Ohio and surrounding areas. Candidates must live in territory
Compensation: Introductory Training Salary of $2,115.38 biweekly (annualized at $55,000). After the conclusion of the introductory period, pay will transition to 8 percent of total commission sales.
Overview: Sixth City Distribution focuses on our carefully curated portfolio of excellent products. We're our brewery and supplier partners' biggest fans and we take pride in representing their brands to the most outstanding craft-centric accounts in Ohio. As the craft beverage market continues to evolve, this role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with a diverse and growing portfolio of products. In addition to craft beer, our sales representatives will also introduce customers to emerging beverage categories, including adaptogen beverages, non-alcoholic options, and other innovative drink offerings. The sales representative is expected to be self-motivated and accountable for the success of the territory assigned, as well as adhere to the standards and protocols of Sixth City Distribution.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Grow an account base in an established territory and develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking out and adding new accounts
- Meet and exceed sales targets through effective territory management and strategic planning
- Visit and meet with accounts on a weekly basis to take orders and monitor product levels
- Meet/exceed sales goals set for assigned territory
- Ensure quality standards and proper product storage are being met at account level
- Attend and build awareness for our brands through occasional festivals, product tastings, promotional events, etc
- Keep abreast of industry trends, and dynamics and changes within the market
Qualifications & Experience
- Sales experience preferred
- Previous experience in the beverage industry welcome but not necessary
- Strong customer service skills and a positive, supportive, and collaborative attitude.
- Valid driver's license
- Must have a reliable car that can be used for travel to accounts within territory, fuel costs will be covered by the company
- Passion for craft beer and knowledge about craft beer styles and current trends a plus
- Excitement for growing segments in growing beverage categories including adaptogen beverages, non-alcoholic options, and other innovative and emerging trends a plus
- Knowledge of the Columbus and Central Ohio market and surrounding areas
