Post-Operative Lymphatic Massage Therapist
& Wellness Recovery Specialist
Full-Time | Scottsdale, AZ | Compensation: Commensurate with Experience
About Our Plastic Surgery Office
The office is one of Scottsdale's premier high-volume plastic surgery practices. Since opening in 2017, we have grown exponentially through a relentless commitment to patient outcomes, natural results, and a luxury patient experience. We are currently expanding into a brand-new state-of-the-art facility on N. Scottsdale Road.
Our team is small, elite, and built on the belief that every patient deserves concierge-level care from the moment they walk in to the moment they are fully recovered. We incorporate cutting-edge enhanced recovery protocols including Elixir MD IV therapy, peptide-based healing support, and comprehensive post-operative wellness planning. We don't hire order-takers — we hire leaders who own their role and genuinely care about every patient they touch.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an exceptional Post-Operative Lymphatic Massage Therapist to join our recovery and wellness team. This is not a standard massage role — you will be an integral part of our surgical recovery pathway, working directly alongside plastic surgeons and our clinical team to support patients through their healing journey after liposuction, Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), tummy tuck, breast procedures, and body contouring surgeries.
The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience in post-surgical lymphatic drainage, Wood therapy for myofascial release, and a genuine passion for patient wellness and education. You are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and understand that your work is a direct extension of the surgical result.
What You'll Do
- Perform post-operative manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) using certified techniques (Vodder, Leduc, or equivalent) for plastic surgery patients
- Administer Wood therapy (maderotherapy) for myofascial release, fibrosis prevention, and contouring optimization
- Educate patients on their post-operative recovery milestones, swelling expectations, and activity protocols
- Collaborate with Drs and clinical staff on individual Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols
- Support integration of Elixir MD wellness protocols and peptide-based recovery planning into patient care
- Maintain detailed session notes and communicate patient progress updates to the clinical team
- Assist in developing and refining the practice's post-operative recovery program and patient education materials
- Deliver a luxury, patient-first experience consistent with the Natural Results brand standard — every session, every patient
- Participate in ongoing team training, wellness education, and practice growth initiatives
- Myofascial Release Basics
- Scar Release Work
- Lymph Drainage Therapy, Manual Lymph Drainage
- Pre-operative/Post-operative care
- Lymphedema prevention and management
- Massage Cupping
- Essentials Oils
- Energy Healing
- Lymphatic Anatomy/Physiology and Energy Anatomy
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of certified lymphatic drainage experience, with significant post-surgical plastic surgery volume
- Proficiency in Wood therapy / maderotherapy for myofascial release and fibrosis management
- Active Arizona massage therapy license in good standing
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and patient communication skills — you can calm a nervous patient and educate a confident one
- Type-A work ethic: self-starter, highly organized, and holds yourself to a higher standard than anyone else would
- Team-first mentality — ego checked at the door, outcome-focused always
Strongly Preferred:
- Experience in a plastic surgery, medical spa, or aesthetic medicine setting
- Familiarity with Elixir MD, peptides, IV therapy, or integrative wellness recovery modalities
- Knowledge of post-op garment management, scar protocols, and fibrosis prevention
- Background or cross-training as a Medical Assistant or Surgical Technologist — a major plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) — a bonus in serving our diverse patient population
- Social media awareness and comfort being featured in patient content (within HIPAA guidelines)
What We Offers You
- Competitive compensation package commensurate with your experience and certifications
- A collaborative, growth-oriented team culture where your expertise is respected and your development is invested in
