Duties
- Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations using QuickBooks.
- Perform general ledger accounting activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and governmental accounting standards where applicable.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including financial statement writing, budget analysis, and account reconciliation summaries.
- Oversee payroll processing and tax-related activities, ensuring timely submissions and adherence to relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions through double-entry bookkeeping and account reconciliation procedures.
- Support operational functions by assisting with budgeting processes, financial software management, and general administrative tasks related to finance.
Skills
- Extensive experience with QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, non-profit accounting practices, governmental accounting standards, and technical accounting concepts.
- Proficiency in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger management.
- Knowledge of debits & credits
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and account reconciliation with precision.
- Familiarity with payroll processing, tax experience, accounts payable/receivable management, and budgeting techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills including 10 key typing proficiency for data entry accuracy.
- Strong communication skills for financial report writing and collaborating across departments to ensure operational efficiency.
