Duties
- Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety at all times
- Assist with classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized environment conducive to learning and exploration
- Engage children in developmental play and educational exercises aligned with early childhood curricula
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns regarding child safety or well-being promptly
- Support infants and toddlers with caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and comforting as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to ensure readiness for emergency situations
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and behavior management techniques for young children
