Contractor: approximately 6.5 hours weekly of direct services and 3-5 hours a week on average of paperwork and collaboration

Our Inclusive Approach
● IEP meetings will be student-centered and student-driven with family members regarded as experts of their student’s needs. Mandatory members of the IEP team include students who are 16 years of age or older, a parent or guardian, a certified special education teacher, a certified general education teacher, and a representative from the school or district. Team members will utilize active listening and an emphasis on relationship building during the process.
Occupational Therapist’s Specific functions include:
● Provide direct and consultative services to students in grades 6-12.
● Implement inclusive social groups that will be composed of students with IEPs and students without IEPs. Both on campus and in the community.
● Support the development of student’s executive functioning skills, emotional regulation and gross and fine motor skills.
● Support and collaborate with teachers and staff to support the inclusion of students
● Attend and participate in student and family centered IEP/ MET meetings
● Complete screenings and assessments
● Collect data, use data-driven decision making
● Provide written documentation
● Meet timelines and legal requirements in accordance with federal law, IDEA
Qualifications
● The therapist needs to have experience with student led/centered group sessions and student led/centered IEP meetings.
● license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Arizona
● Fingerprint clearance card

2022-23 school year
