Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Lead Teacher for the 3-year-old classroom! As a Lead Teacher in our preschool, you will foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that promotes early childhood development and lifelong love of learning. Responsibilities
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans designed for 3-year-olds, incorporating literacy education, math, physical activity, and social-emotional learning.
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management.
- Create an inclusive environment for all the children in the classroom.
- Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support each child's individual growth and welfare.
- Manage classroom routines, behavior management plans, and documentation to ensure a well-organized learning space.
- Supervise assistant teacher and support staff to maintain high standards of classroom management and community.
Skills
- Experience in early childhood education with a focus on preschool-aged children.
- Good knowledge of childhood development, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Proficiency in curriculum development across subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including those requiring some accomodations.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, families, and colleagues.
- Skilled in lesson planning, following a pre-set general schedule.
Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
