Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of ice cream flavors with precision and care, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about flavors, toppings, and specials, and upselling products to enhance sales.
- Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, including bussing tables, cleaning equipment, and ensuring food handling protocols are followed.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cash register operation and balancing at shift end.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as scooping, topping, and packaging ice cream orders quickly to meet customer demand.
- Support team members in maintaining a welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation standards and assisting with general restaurant duties.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell and promote products confidently.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while managing time effectively.
