Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Business Development and Marketing Director to drive growth, expand our market presence, and enhance our brand recognition. With a commitment to quality, sustainability, and customer service, we strive to meet the diverse needs of our clients across multiple industries.
This leadership role requires a proactive individual with a proven track record in business development and marketing within the manufacturing sector. Experience in managing a small to mid-size team is required!
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Business Development & Marketing team.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to identify new market opportunities and revenue streams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies to increase brand awareness.
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with production, admin and the executive leadership team to ensure alignment of business goals.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of growth initiatives and marketing campaigns.
- Lead and mentor the marketing and business development associates.
- Be able to attract Human Capital (recruiting and onboarding) for the business development team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet client needs.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
- Prepare and present business proposals and reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is often preferred.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in business development & sales. At least 3 years in a leadership or management role. Proven track record of driving revenue growth and developing successful business strategies.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of consumer goods manufacturing industry (e.g., plastic manufacturing, consumer goods). Familiarity with Supply chain dynamics, market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Experience in setting goals, performance metrics, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, market trends, and business opportunities. Ability to develop and implement effective business strategies aligned with company goals.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions with clients, stakeholders, and team members. Strong presentation skills to convey business strategies and performance metrics to executive leadership.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify challenges and develop practical solutions to drive business growth.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in business software tools (e.g., CRM systems, data analysis tools) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Travel – Ability to travel domestically as well as internationally.
- Trade Shows – Ability to attend trade shows as required.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
