Lake George Waterfront Lighthouse & Marina is now hiring experienced and enthusiastic Servers for our newly renovated restaurant in the heart of busy Lake George Village. Join our team and provide exceptional guest experiences at our Lighthouse Grill or Cruise Ship Events. This is a fast-paced, rewarding position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Welcome and greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Present menus, answer questions, and provide knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations.
- Become familiar with all Waterfront Hospitality businesses, including cruises, boat rentals, parasailing, and Saratoga rental properties.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and drinks while maintaining high service standards.
- Provide personalized suggestions and upsell menu items, specials, add-ons, and upgrades when appropriate.
- Assist with seating arrangements and table setup for large parties and special events.
- Prepare and present guest checks and process payments accurately.
- Learn and efficiently operate the Toast POS system for order entry and payment processing.
- Handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods responsibly.
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked service stations.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Address guest concerns professionally and involve management when necessary.
- Maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Complete side work duties throughout each shift, including cleaning, stocking, and preparing for service.
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Maintain a professional appearance and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Inform guests about upcoming events, promotions, and attractions within Waterfront Hospitality.
- Work collaboratively with fellow servers, bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Previous serving experience preferred; hospitality experience is a plus.
- 2 years of serving experience preferred.
- Competitive hourly rate plus tips.
- Must be dependable, energetic, and committed to creating memorable guest experiences.
